Do most providers offer 2-color printing?
Though most will tell you that going full color will get you the best value, commercial printing services do offer 2-color prints.

Will providers complete jobs that have different formats than the ones that they provide?
Most service providers will do this for you. Simply discuss what format you would like to ensure that it is possible.

Will I be charged extra if bleeding occurs?
It depends on the service provider; some will include bleeds free of charge.

What kind of paper options do I have to choose from for my printing job?
Most commercial printers have a multitude of paper types available for you to choose from.

How long will it take for me to get a proof of my job?
Most commercial printers will provide a proof within one business day after receiving your electronic files.

How long will it take to get my order?
This will depend with each service provider, but most will ship your order within the first week after the approval of your proof. Depending on the shipping service, this means you should receive your order under the two week mark after you approve the proof.

Will I always receive the exact amount of prints ordered?
Most times you will receive a little more than asked for free of charge. Printing industry trade standards allow for shortages up to 5%, so if you are planning prints to be sent out for a mailing list, it is wise to order 5% more than you need to make up for the possible shortage.

What file formats will providers accept?
Most providers will accept MS Word, Powerpoint, Mac or PC versions of Quark, Pagemaker, InDesign, CoreIDRAW!, Illustrator, Photoshop, Freehand, Publisher, and any file output as a PDF file.

What types of storage media do you accept?
Most providers will accept a file on CD, DVD, or Zip disk.

What is the difference between the CMYK and RGB color space?
"RGB" refers to the primary colors of red, green, and blue. "CMYK" refers to the primary colors of pigment: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. The CMYK colors are used on printing presses to make any hue possible for "full color printing."
