Did you know that your customers are affected by color? Amongst the multitude of factors designers address, finding the right color for your site is one of them. Most of us do not realize the importance of color coordination, and take the pleasure of the eyes for granted. Mochanin has been in the business of Web design long enough to know the integral nature of incorporating color.
Color should be one of the first considerations in orchestrating a Web site. Your site will be received as plain and boring if close attention is not paid to the colors used. Different colors elicit different emotions in people. You can use these responses to generate interest in your site and products.
Using color The eye contains rods and cones. The cones differentiate hues of color. The cones will receive different hues in varying manners. For instance, you may notice that all "caution" signs are yellow. This is because pure yellow is straining to the eye and is immediately apparent. Using yellow (sparingly because it strains the eye after some time) to attract browsers to ads and other sales information can be advantageous. The color red will elicit the same response from browsers (notice red is the color of stop signs).
Not only are certain hues more apparent than others, but certain colors will elicit certain emotional responses from browsers. The following is a list of colors and the feelings that they elicit. Web designers can use this knowledge to integrate colors in accordance with the products or services offered on the site. For instance, red is associated with love and passion; so, a site offering flower delivery services may want those feeling to be elicited by their visitors to entice them to buy flowers for someone they love and/or are passionate about.
